Christmas 2009

This year for Christmas I got a new camera! YAH! It is a Nikon D90 and is a close to professional as I need at this point. I loooove it! So here are a bunch of pictures from Christmas so far! :)

Meeting Santa!!

Well we took Karsen to meet Santa tonight! It was so nice and the Santa looked great! He looved little Karsen and although we didn't get a smile, he didn't cry haha These are the pictures we will cherish! :) Merry Christmas!!

Giggly Baby

Karsen is now getting more and more into his 'things'. He loves loooking at things and hearing all the noises and seeing all the lights. So we finally put him in his jumparoo and his feet can touch the floor!!! He loves all the toys and that he can sorta bounce... He is giggling all the time and constantly smiling... we were blessed with a baby that rarely cries.

After his bath I stopped brushing his hair because it is hilarious to see his baby fro.. haha

He is now over 3 months old and with the holidays coming, this month is going by super fast. Time needs to stand still for a minute..

3 months

Well Karsen is officially 3 months old and mommy has been neglecting posting on this blog. So sorry!

So here is a taste of a cute picture that Kaitlin took of him a few weeks ago! More to come I promise!

Overdue Karsen update!

Well Karsen is almost 3 months old and wow.. the time is just flying by! He is smiling and giggling and is just the happiest baby around! He actually is sleeping an average of 8 hours a night which is beyond fantastic!

At his 2 month appt he weighed in at 12 lbs 14 oz and is about 22.75inches long! He is right on track with both his height and weight! He also got his shots which was soo sad but he was such a trooper and only cried for a few seconds!

He will be officially 3 months old on Dec 4th which is just right around the corner. and NO, we are not cutting his hair anytime soon!

I have a few friends who are having babies in feb then Beth is in April so next summer is going to be so much fun with all the babies around! Karsen will have his pick of girlfriends that is for sure! haha

Thanksgiving is this week so more pics after that! :)

punkin butt

So Karsen had some hand-me-down pieces for halloween and then a 'baby's 1st' sleeper.. all of which were pumkpins! So he had a ton of fun things to wear for halloween. He hated the costume, hated the hat/hood but otherwise looked super cute in all that orange (mommys fav color btw).

For Trick or Treating, we sat up a firepit in our driveway, ate homemade chickensoup (by me YAH!) and had some smores while drinking some spiced hot cider. We had a ton more kids this year for candy than last year which was super fun. Karsen and I headed inside once the sun went down bc bubby was a bit to young to stay out so late (630pm haha). Our fav neighbors Klynt, Nikki, and Konnor came over as well, Konnor was a little bumble bee! haha

Sunday I got Karsen decked out in Colts gear to head to noblesville. We hung out with the twins and Cousin Kayleigh as well.. Karsen had just a great time haha

He now weighs over 12lbs.. BIG BOY! our offical 2 month appt is Nov 11th but he is healthy and happy so far. He still does not sleep well but someday soon we are hoping..

IU Game Day

This past Saturday, Josh and I took Karsen to Aunt Jen and Uncle Danny's house to watch the IU football game. SO, of course, we decked him out in complete IU gear from head to toe. He looked adorable, of course! IU, unfortunately, lost. Totally should have won but it was a fun day regardless!

Karsen @ 7 weeks

So Karsen is getting bigger and bigger every day. He has started to sleep much better now and we only get up about once a night... mainly because we get him to bed late and he gets up so early haha. I usually put him to bed, hopefully around 10pm then Josh will get up around 2 or so when Karsen wants a bottle then hopefully he will sleep til around 5am or after when I am getting up for work. So it has not been too bad for my first week back at work!

We are trying to teach Karsen how to smile on purpose. It is going well.. he is definatley ticklish! I will blow in him face and give him rasberries and sometimes that produces a smile! He coos however the whole time!

We have done some tummy time and also learned out to sit in the bumbo seat... once he can hold his head up really well i think he will like it more..but he loves sitting up so the bumbo has been great so far!!!

6 wks old!

We recently tried out his 'tummy time surf mat'. He did alright on it.. his little neck is getting stronger every day!

I had my 6 week appt today... everything for me is right on track! I am fully healed and cleared to exercise! WOO

Karsen is just growing every day. He has developed the wrist and ankle folds and is just getting chubby! We love it! He basically goes everywhere with us and is becoming a good little traveler.. once his sleep patterns develop more we will put him in his nursery at night but for now he is still sleeping in our room. I don't mind! :)

Maycee celebrated her 3rd birthday last week! I can't believe how old her and Bronson are getting... too fast! But they love Karsen and I cant wait for them to play with him more.

5 weeks!

Karsen had his one month appointment. He currently weighs 10lbs 4 ozs and is 21 inches long! WOOO so he is in the 50th percentile for height and weight which is just great. He is growing so fast but we are loving every moment! He is super vocal and squeaks a lot which is hilarious. We can't get enough of him!!

Happy 1 month Karsen!

Well, Karsen is 1 month old TODAY! I can't believe it has been a full month. As of last tuesday he weighs 8lbs 15 oz and we think is about 21 inches long. Karsen has his next Dr appt on Friday so we will see exactly then!

Although we get no sleep with this little guy, it has been amazing. I just never want to let him go and could hold him all day and he could sleep on my chest all night long. He would prefer that anyway haha. But his sleeping patterns are getting much better and he is just growing so fast!

Sometimes he smiles in his sleep and just coos all day long. He is soo vocal I can only imagine what he has to say.

I have 2 more weeks of him til I have to get back to work. It will be super hard but he will be in good hands. I will miss him soo much though.... ; (

Happy birthday baby boy! Mommy and Daddy love you soo much!! (he was definately worth the weight, the swelling and carpal tunnel haha)

1 Year Anniversary

Josh and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary on Sunday. Since Karsen now runs our lives, we basically just stayed at home, in our PJ's and lounged all day. We celebrated with some pizza and of course, our wedding cake. It was delicious! It was also momentous because Karsen was able to get his first bath since his cord finally fell off!

I love you Josie! Thank you for the anniversary ring! and for being an amazing daddy!
