34 weeks

It seems like just yesterday I was saying "i'm 6 weeks along" and now I only have 6 weeks to go! It is so crazy how life can just fly by and in an instance your whole world will change! Same old stuff going on around here really.. my next Dr Appt is Aug 10th so we shall see what baby dr says! :) I am feeling good other than no sleep, swelling and back pain! But good natured otherwise!!!

My bff from MI Sara is coming into town next weekend and I am soo excited to see her! Haven't seen her since the wedding!!! Also looking forward to see all the rest of my friends as well! :)

PS we picked a name but we aren't announcing it until the baby comes.. but we loove it : )

The Blanket

So I cant believe I left this most precious gift out of my last post. My mom has been talking for months about the baby blanket she was making for my little guy. Well, she finally gave it to me and it is so adorable! I know he will love it and we can't wait to wrap him up in it all winter long. Thanks mom, it is just amazing and means soo much to us. We love you!!!

Mitchell Baby Shower

This past Sunday while the boys played golf, the Mitchell family threw me a wonderful baby shower! We got some really great gifts and had so much fun hanging out with my family! All my grandparents were there and of course both my Aunts so that was awesome!!!

We got some really great surprise gifts that just are amazing... Beth got us a jumparoo (baby JJ will loooove that in a few months), Momma got us a super duper diaper bag that matches our future car seat/stroller system, Joshs fam got us a bag of goodies to fill the diaper bag and then Katie got us a video camera! That one was a huge shocker but something we totally wanted so we can capture every important moment in our kids lives!

Just had a great time! We also got a brand new breast pump which I never knew I would be so excited about haha. oh and Aunt DeAnne HAD to get us our Diaper Champ so icky diapers wont stink up the house haha

Baby JJ has a new bumbo seat and some tummy time mats as well! He is spoiled but already has a place to put his money... his new piggy bank from the great old people haha my gma/pa laughner!

Anyway just turned out to be such a fantastic day!

33 weeks....

Well I am finally updating my 33 week picture! Sorry! But things are going great after the relief and good info from the last u/s! He is a big boy, that is for sure! Mommy is still getting bigger by the day to keep up with him.. lucky me haha

Well this picture was taken at Mitchell's fish market. We went there last Thursday for my parents 31st wedding anniversary! Super good food .. maybe next time I can actually taste the raw oysters!! yummmm..

Just dealing with some swelling abd back pain.. the normal for this stage in my prego life!!

33wk ultrasound

He has hands like his daddy!

Here is a picture of his mouth and nose... cock your head to the right and it is like a straight shot up his nostrils..
This is a picture of his face.. again, look a little to the right and you can see his eyes, nose and mouth!

Well, what we thought was a BIG baby was just really an average baby with a big head and some extra fluid. haha Let me explain.. we had an u/s today because we have been measuring pretty big for only being 33wks along. So, I got all gooped up and the baby at this point weighs 4lbs 14ozs. The tech says he has a fairly large head right now but we figure since both our dads have abnormally large heads haha. We also noticed that he has LOTS of hair right now, which is awesome!

The reason I was measuring big was because I am extra amniotic fluid in there for him to swim around in and that was causes my uterus to appear bigger. It is prefectly normal at this stage in the pregancy and baby JJ enjoys the extra space!

We are 33wks but are measuring at about 34wks and 5days for now. So, we will go as close to full term as possible.. atleast for now! We have another appt on Aug 10th! Our first baby shower is this weekend at my Moms house.. super excited!!!

32 weeks and 8 to go..

I am at 32 weeks now and I am feeling just ok. I still don't sleep great, my back hurts most of the time and I have to deal with my swollen feet a little bit too. But as long as baby bean is happy, I am happy! Really nothing has changed but we will find out why we are so big on Wed so I will keep everyone updated on that!

Kate is having her baby shower this weekend so I am super excited to see what fun things she gets :)

Pentwater Michigan

This past weekend Josh, the puppies, me and baby bean went up to Pentwater Michigan with his family. We really lucked out on the weather and had a really good time. I love just reading a good book and laying in the sun so it was perfect. The doggies had a great time just being able to travel with us and not being left behind! They did such a good job in the car (hence the picture of my two snuggling) Lake Michgan was frreeezzing cold so I didnt get it but everyone else did! I tried to get some prego pictures of myself but was not very sucessful... it is hard to have an eye on the picture when you aren't the one taking it. We hope to go back to Michigan again next year.. maybe for a whole week!

31 weeks w/ some aches/pains!

So now I am 31 weeks along and with that comes lower back pain and hip pain basically all the time. I can't even bend over the slightest w/o my lower back just aching so bad. HOwever, I did finally buy a maternity body pillow to sleep with. I helped a bit last night so hopefully that will be the trick from here on out. Poor little guy just lays right on my pelvic bone and it hurts mommy haha

This weekend we are heading to Michigan for some R&R and hopefully some sun!! Hope the baby likes 5 hours car rides with 4 doggies :)

ps.. we have another ultrasound on July 22nd to determine why this baby is making mommy's belly so big so fast ;)

30 week appt

So we had our 30 week appt today... I am still measuring at 34 cm which means I have not gotten any bigger in the past 10 days but I am still measuring big for being 30 weeks. So, we scheduled an ultrasound for July 22nd and another OB appt to follow that. They will be able to see the positioning of the baby and measure his height and weight to see what's up.

NOthing to worry about.. just might mean this big baby boy could come a bit earlier than expected! :)

30 weeks

Just like Kate said in her post, this pregnancy has flown by! I think had I been super sick or had other crazy prego symptoms if would have been a much slower process but every week goes by easily (knock on wood) and he is growing just great! My belly has started to become an issue..all the time.. haha.. like everytime I stand up it is a few seconds before I can walk correctly because of all the extra weight up front. I am still sleeping in the recliner, which is fine.. but lonely w/o my doggies and hubby! We go to the Dr on Monday so hopefully all is well there! Josh is helping me out more and more and even Momma came over to help me get some cleaning done yesterday. Both of our parents have been super awesome this whole time.. they are so excited for their first grandbaby! I know he is anxious to meet them as well.. now if only we could come up with a name..... haha

Leigh and Brads wedding

Last weekend Josh and I went to see a mutual friend of ours get married. Leigh and I went to high school together and both went to IU. Then she also worked at the SRSC with Josh and me and so we have all been good friends since. She looked gorgeous and had a lot of the same similarities to my wedding, which was cool. Her dress was just amazing on her.. they had the reception at the Garrison and it was soo beautiful. She also used the same photographer, Kiera Dubach, as me and that was SOO much fun to see her again. She is going to do baby pics for us soon....

test results

So I got my glucose tests back and everything was fine. I have to take Iron supplements, however, for the remainder of my pregnany which is not horrible. It seems to be pretty normal with most other pregnant women I know right now. Josh and I had our first baby class last night and we learned all about labor and delivery. Crazy stuff and a bit confusing but I know we will be ok! :)
